Francisco Andrade’s family-owned metal workshop is set on the same premises as his family home, amid a garden that can almost be seen as a park. The contrast of lush greenery surrounding dogs and peacocks roaming free, juxtaposed against the sights and sounds of metalsmiths going about their daily work, is a rare and interesting scene. The family’s experience in metalwork is deeply entrenched via decades of work for some of the most important people in Portugal. Always eager to try something new, Francisco is not one who rests on his laurels, but is a warm and kindhearted man always endeavoring to be better at his craft.
